Epworth ODE

We headed out to Epworth ODE last week and finished 6th out of 30 starters which was great!
We got a 36.5 dressage followed by a double clear.
The cross country course was great , based on a British eventing track so nice and big and colourful :)
We then headed out to dressage a couple of weeks following epworth and came 2nd!
We are now looking forward to another ODE this coming weekend hoping for another good day and hopefully some winnings!

Good start to 2014....

Over the past few months , i have managed to get all three of my horses out which has been great !
Buzz has been show jumping, woody went to hill house showing and jazz took part in her first ever show at willerby manor.  The 2 babies now have their own prize collection :)
Buzz took part in the intermediate cross country at west ashby and we came 7th out of over 30 entries. Very good start to the season ..

Christmas show jumping!

Me and buzz decided to get into the festive spirit and head to kenwick park for the xmas jumping event.
I dragged buzz out the paddock after his week off , brushed of the mud and loaded him up ready for a fun day :)
We entered class 5 which was 'pick your own line' and you had to jump as many jumps as you could in 1 min 20. The more technical fences had highest points and the person with the most points wins!!
Well.... We WON !  Really pleased with him :)
We then went onto class 7 which was the famous puissance wall! Starting at 70cm and going up each time.
Buzz and I flew over the wall right up to 1m 20ish and then there was just 3 of us left at the end for the 1m40 challenge!! The 2 horses went before me and buzz and both refused last minute at the massive wall which did make me wonder what buzz was going to think.
We went for it and me being abit nervous turned in abit sharp( total riding error) but poor buzz tackled the wall anyway and just knocking it with one foot!
Absoultly buzzing that we got over the wall! And because we were the only horse to attempt and get over the other side... We WON!!!
Couldnt have asked for a better day :)

British showjumping area 24 show

We had a fantastic day at the winter area 24 show, the arena looked fabulous with all different flowers and decorations. Big fillers in every fence.
I decided to take buzz round the clear round for a warm up and we went clear which i was really happy with considering how bright and spooky the arena looked.
We then went onto the british novice and went double clear and went into second place! But not for long :( had about 5 people to go after me in a big class and they all put there foot down and pushed me JUST out the placings !
We then got a pole down in the discovery but jumped a really good round so overall had a fab day!

Jasmine - kwpn warmblood filly

I have recently bought myself a beautiful kwpn filly , she is 2yrs old and to make 17hh.
Exceptional bloodlines, i am extreamly excited for her future.
My plans with jazz is to break her in as a 3/4 yr old and produce her to be a show jumper/eventer with time . I am in no major rush with her, i want her doing slowly and correctly .
Her parents are top class show jumpers, her mum is jumping 1m 30 tracks in holland.
As you can see by the picture, we are getting on just great ...
